Wednesday, October 27, 2010
Dear GCB affiliate

Sportstats have been given the green light and we are in the process of uploading the result cards we have received. Please note that you must complete the official Sportstats GCB result card to ensure that the results are uploaded.

Due to the backlog as a consequence of only starting now, we will need to work through the backlog and update the information along with the new result cards we receive. Therefore, we will only be able to have the details 100% on the website by the 10th of December. However, we will aim to get all information updated for you as soon as possible.

Many thanks and we appreciate your support and any feedback you would like to share with us. Please send all queries, comments and result cards to admin@sportstats.co.za.

We are working on the best solution for all and hope to communicate with you as soon as possible.

Have a good season.
Letter from Gauteng Cricket Board
Wednesday, September 09, 2009
To whom it may concern

This letter serves to confirm that GCB has entered into a service contract with Sportstats.co.za starting in the 2009/2010 season.

This service includes SMS and e-mail communications with every player, club, coach and administrator in the Board's area of control, with the sole focus of identifying new talent over a long term basis using their web based platform.

We have entered into this contract as we also believe that it would be beneficial not only for the Board but also for each club in the management of teams and ensuring that the game of cricket is enjoyed by all.

Sportstats focuses on identifying talent in areas beyond traditional sources and their focus on development is a tool for GCB to ensure an equal opportunity for every player in every team, in every league.

We thank you for all your anticipated support which will enable Sportstats to provide this service to every player in Gauteng.
Press Release - GCB invests in the future
Monday, October 26, 2009
Gauteng Cricket Board (GCB) announced recently that it has embarked on a ground-breaking partnership with Sportstats which will ultimately strengthen the provinces talent and development pool.

The 10-year agreement, finalised earlier this month by GCB CEO Alan Kourie, effectively means that all communication and administration processes for club cricket in the province will be handled by
Sportstats through a seamless online-delivery and SMS platform which reaches every player in every league in Gauteng.

The weekly communications provided by Sportstats will assist all clubs with player management through the creation of detailed player profiles, including statistics on all games, and in all formats of the game.

The real dream and focus of the agreement, commentated Sportstats Director Sean Petzer, is to support all the province’s development programmes by providing a real tool and database of all players from all areas, clubs, and schools, thereby extending and growing the profiles of Gauteng’s cricket talent.

With team and player management greatly enhanced, and by providing GCB with continually updated player profiles and statistics, every cricketer in the province has a genuine opportunity to now shine and be discovered - regardless of what club or traditional cricket-playing school he or she may have come from.
Compliments 2009/2010
